Each week a class showcasing our school wide positive behavior initiatives in the library (aka library manners) wins the Golden Book Award. The Golden Book Award is hung in their classroom window and their achievement is announced over the school wide intercom.
“Skoob", Mallett school’s very own shelf elf is a great help not only re-shelving, and completing other odd jobs in the library but also keeping a watchful eye on library visitors and reports to me at the end of the week. He helps me determine which class is modeling library manners; using walking feet, whisper voices and caring for our books.
Each winning class gets a special library celebration during their weekly visit. Good luck!
